QIN DYNASTY 221-207 BCE
The Qin Dynasty was a very short but important role in Chinese history. It lasted only 15 years. It only had two emperors throughout its time. The first was Qin Shihuang. Next in line was his son Hu Hai. They believed in using military power compared to other methods. See where the Qin Dynasty was located below.
The map to the left shows where Qin Dynasty was located and how large this Dynasty really was.
The Qin Dynasty leaders did many great things but one of their major accomplishments was building the Great Wall of China. This massive wall protected the Qin Dynasty from intruders and unwanted outsiders. It also helped with traveling from location to another. Another important invention was the idea of using money. Currency became a standardized copper coin with a square hole in the middle. Currency made it easier for light traveling when you had to purchase different items. The Qin Dynasty finally came to an end when its people went into rage, rebelling against their leaders.
